On 7 October 2020, an agreement was signed on the transfer to IDGC of Centre of the authority of the sole executive body of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region for a new term until the end of 2023, the terms of which were approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies.
The decision to transfer the powers was taken in order to implement the tasks contained in the Development Strategy of the Electric Grid Complex of the Russian Federation. This decision was agreed by the Board of Directors of Rosseti and approved at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. The scheme was developed and supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and aimed at a significant increase in the efficiency of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, which is provided by much more stringent requirements to achieve the targets. According to the scheme to manage the companies, approved under the agreement of the Sole Executive Body, the existing 11 branches of IDGC of Centre are supplemented by another 9 branches of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.
This measure is aimed at increasing the production and financial efficiency of both companies, reducing transaction costs and ensuring reliable power supply to all categories of consumers.
