Rosseti supplied electricity to a new aluminum packaging plant in the Voronezh region

21 April 2026

Rosseti has completed the grid connection project for a new packaging plant, a resident of the Centre special economic zone in the Voronezh region.

The plant is designed to produce 1.2 billion aluminum cans per year, which will reduce the Russian packaging market’s dependence on imports.

Rosseti Centre’s specialists constructed two 10 kV power lines with a total length of over 6 km from a 110 kV substation, supplying power to an industrial park in the Novousmansky district of the region. The capacity allocated to the new plant exceeds 7 MW.

The Alba plant is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026. The total cost of the project is RUB 11 billion. The plant’s operations will generate tax revenues for budgets at all levels and create hundreds of high-productivity jobs, which is essential for the socio-economic development of the Black Earth Region. Furthermore, the new plant will generate additional demand for logistics services and raw material suppliers.
