Teacher’s Day is being celebrated today at training centres of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region. The companies’ corporate training system comprises 10 training centres that help power engineers continuously improve their skills and acquire new competencies in key areas of the companies’ operations.
Power engineers are trained by 300 instructors, including both in-house specialists and external experts - such as experienced branch employees, industry veterans and representatives from higher education institutions. Their practical experience enables a combination of theoretical training with real-world operational tasks.
Training is conducted across more than 1,600 educational programs. Classes take place in 94 classrooms with a total capacity of 1,560 people. Employees hone their practical skills at eight training grounds and branch facilities.
Each year, the training centres prepare specialists in areas such as the operation and repair of power grid equipment, dispatch and operational control, safety, grid connection and service delivery, as well as other key aspects of the energy companies’ work.
Specialized projects are being implemented, including the training of grid control centres’ operators and dispatch personnel, service delivery specialists, and training for live-line work and working at heights, as well as initiatives focused on distributed automation, industrial safety audits and other programs. New specialized training and professional development courses covering digital transformation technologies are also under development.
The volume of training has increased significantly in recent years; for instance, in 2025, 50,500 people underwent training, including 33,300 employees of the companies. For comparison, in 2023, these figures stood at 37.2 thousand and 24.8 thousand people, respectively.
“Reliable power supply ultimately depends on people - their knowledge, experience and readiness to make critical decisions. That is why we view corporate training as an integral part of our operational system. Instructors at our training centres play a pivotal role: they pass on not only professional expertise to employees but also a culture of safety, a responsible work ethic, and the practical experience accumulated by generations of power engineers. By preserving and fostering this continuity, we develop specialists whose professionalism ensures reliable power supply for millions of consumers,” stressed Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC.
