The results of the first stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of Schoolchildren of the Rosseti Group have been announced. Students in grades 8-10 participated.
During this stage, more than 2,200 schoolchildren from the regions of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region - 975 and 1,227, respectively - tested their knowledge of mathematics, physics, and computer science. The largest number of participants (468 students) was in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The largest number of winners and runners-up in the first stage came from the Smolensk region (11 students), Voronezh region, and Belgorod region (10 each). 503 participants who scored at least 100 points in three subjects and at least 30 points in each subject have been invited to the second stage, which includes practical cases on electric power engineering and a creative skills test. The results of the second stage will be announced in the second half of April. The best participants will be invited to an in-person evaluation conference, which will be held on 28-29 April 2026 at the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University named after V.I. Lenin.
Following the in-person defense, the overall winners and runners-up of the Olympiad will be announced. They will be awarded diplomas and prizes from the Rosseti Group and will be eligible to participate in electric power engineering project sessions at Moscow State University and the Orlyonok All-Russian Children’s Centre. The Olympiad, which has been held since 2018, aims to identify talented schoolchildren and promote professions in the electric power industry.
