Acting Kursk Region Governor Alexander Chepik met with Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC. The parties discussed the progress of production programs at the branch of Rosseti Centre - Kurskenergo, as well as the implementation of major infrastructure projects in the region.
In 2026, Rosseti Centre will allocate over RUB 607 million to implement the maintenance and repair program for power facilities in the Kursk region. Key activities include clearing routes along overhead power lines, repairing transformers and switching devices, and replacing insulators, wires, and transmission line poles.
Special attention was paid to the prompt restoration of damaged power facilities and ensuring the stable operation of the region’s electric grid complex. They also discussed a comprehensive restoration program for border districts and the tasks of reconstructing existing power grids and constructing new ones.
“For the Kursk region, both stable, scheduled maintenance and repair work on the grids and the readiness of power engineers to quickly respond to emergency situations are crucial. We know that we can always count on Rosseti Centre to carry out all necessary measures efficiently and in a timely manner. In turn, we are ready to ensure prompt coordination between all services, if necessary,” noted Alexander Chepik.
“Working in border regions requires a high level of concentration and teamwork from our staff. We prioritize coordination under increased load on the grids. People must be confident that, regardless of the circumstances, power engineers are working, and there will be light in their homes,” noted Boris Ebzeev.
