Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region continue large-scale efforts to prevent electrical injuries with children in 20 regions of their operations.
One of its most effective tools is electrical safety lessons. Power engineers educate children and adolescents about the role of electricity in human life, remind them how to use electrical appliances, explain the meaning of warning signs, and teach first aid techniques for victims of electrical shock.
In 2025, specialists from the companies’ branches conducted 2,414 electrical safety lessons, attended by 59,783 people. The largest number of thematic lessons were organized by the following branches: Bryanskenergo (400), Tulenergo (340), and Kostromaenergo (292).
To organize preventive work, power engineers are increasingly using original formats and new venues.
For example, at the “Dancing” festival of children’s clubs and sports sections in Izhevsk, Udmurtenergo’s employees taught participants about electrical safety rules and handed out themed schedules, badges, bookmarks, and magnets. Anyone could assemble an electronic circuit, take a photo with an electrician’s photo stand, and participate in a relay race, running it in professional boots.
In Ivanovo, a photo exhibition “Choose Electrical Safety!” opened on 1 June at Energetikov Square on Parizhskoy Kommuny Street. The photographs depicted safety rules for both home and outdoors. It was open all summer.
Belgorod power engineers created an educational video for children “Little Ones About Electrical Safety” and published a book “When Electricity Is Your Friend”. Unlike a typical list of prohibitions, this publication encourages children to practice their acquired knowledge by solving quizzes, crossword puzzles, spotting differences, colouring pictures and answering tests.
“Preventing electrical injuries with children is a shared responsibility among power engineers, parents, teachers, and government agencies. Since 2025, the number of electrical safety lessons has increased 2.5-fold. And the number of young participants in our educational events has almost doubled. This confirms that electrical safety awareness is becoming an important part of everyday life,” stressed Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC.
