Vasily Anokhin and Igor Makovskiy discussed the development of the electric grid complex of the Smolensk region

Governor of the Smolensk Region Vasily Anokhin held a meeting with General Director of Rosseti Centre’s Group of Companies Igor Makovskiy, at which they discussed the heating season, the 2025 tariff campaign and the development of the region’s electric grid complex.

Igor Makovskiy noted that the day before the company received the Certificates of readiness for operation in the 2024/2025 heating season, that is, all production programs for preparing grids and equipment for winter loads have been implemented in full.

In addition, the implementation of the law on systemically important territorial grid organizations (STGO) in the Smolensk region, registration of property rights to ownerless infrastructure were discussed. The governor emphasized that the branch of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - Smolenskenergo is defined as a systemically important TGO of the region.

“Our common goal is to ensure stable power supply for the region in any weather. Together, we are developing the power grid infrastructure, which is one of the springboards for further development of the region”, said Vasily Anokhin.

“The stability of the region’s power grid is especially important on the eve of winter, we are taking comprehensive measures to ensure reliable power supply for all categories of consumers. The effectiveness of the measures was demonstrated in early November, when the Smolensk region became one of the most affected by cyclone Martina. We prepared for the impact of the elements in advance, restoration work was carried out around the clock, all consequences were quickly eliminated”, emphasized Igor Makovskiy.
