On 13 October 2023, the Youth Day of the International Forum “Russian Energy Week” was held in Moscow, where one and a half thousand young professionals, students and schoolchildren gathered to exchange experiences and ideas, sum up the results of project activities and formulate a youth agenda for the fuel and energy complex for 2024.
Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region were represented at the REW youth platform by members of the Youth Council. The chairman of the organization, Valery Mikryukov, spoke at a meeting of the Youth Council of the Electric Power Industry under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The young leader spoke about the “Year of the Young Specialist” program announced at the energy company in 2023, which involves the implementation of 680 events to develop and unite energy youth. Most of them have already been carried out to date.
The effectiveness of the youth policy was confirmed by a survey in which more than 34 thousand employees of the Companies took part. The results showed high – 90%, involvement of the respondents. More than 30% of the respondents directly participated in the “Year of the Young Specialist” events.
“2023 has been declared the “Year of the Young Specialist by the company”.
Young leaders are faced with ambitious tasks, which they cope with having the
full support of managers and experienced mentors. We give young people a chance
to create the energy industry of the future, to translate their ideas into real
products and services intended for millions of users,” stressed Igor Makovskiy,
General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region,
PJSC.
