The Operational Headquarters of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region controls the impact of the spring flood on energy facilities

8 April 2023 On behalf of Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, a meeting of the Operational Headquarters was held at the Main Analytical Centre of the Companies to ensure reliable and stable operation of the electric grid complex during the flood period. The members of the Headquarters also discussed issues of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of power facilities during the May holidays and preparations for the passage of a fire hazard period.

Evgeny Turapin, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of Rosseti Centre, PJSC, reported that to date, the impact of the flood has been recorded in the Bryansk, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod and Tver regions, as well as in the Republic of Udmurtia.

For the duration of the flood, special repair crews are organized in all regions, provided with necessary specialized vehicle, watercraft and communications equipment to eliminate possible consequences at power facilities.

In order to receive forecast information in a timely manner in the event of emergency situations, specialists of the branches interact with the territorial bodies of Roshydromet, the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Tver Region and local authorities.

The meeting of the Headquarters decided to continue the implementation of increased control until the end of the peak period of high water, which, according to weather forecasts, will fall in the middle and second half of April.

“The spring flood is a serious, but also a familiar test for the power grid complex. In all branches, regardless of forecasts, we are taking all the necessary measures to prepare for the flood season, aimed at both preventing emergency situations and eliminating possible consequences in order to prevent interruptions in the power supply to the population of the regions,” stressed General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC Igor Makovskiy.
