Smolenskenergo - 60!

25 January 2023 Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, congratulated the staff of the Smolenskenergo branch on its 60th anniversary.

In January 1963, by the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the Smolensk District Directorate “Smolenskenergo” was created. From that date to the present day, the Smolensk branch provides reliable power supply to consumers in the Smolensk region.

Today, the branch is the largest power grid organization in the Smolensk region, occupying a leading position in the market of electric power transmission services.
Smolenskenergo serves an area of about 50 thousand square kilometres, which includes all 25 administrative districts of the region. The branch maintains reliable operation of 0.4-35 kV power lines with a total length of 43,000 km, 254 substations of 35-110 kV and 10,080 transformer substations of 6-35/0.4 kV with a total capacity of 5.17 MVA.
For the region, Smolenskenergo means more than three thousand jobs, millions of rubles in tax revenues to the budgets of all levels, as well as a reliable partner capable of solving the most complex tasks. 

Today, Smolenskenergo is constructing new production facilities, modernizing equipment, improving the management system and implementing social programs.
