Igor Makovskiy: the launch of new substations will ensure the system reliability of power supply in three regions

22 December 2022 Igor Makovsky, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, launched the operation of four high-voltage substations with a total capacity of 84.9 MVA in the Voronezh and Tver regions, as well as in the Republic of Mari El.

The solemn opening ceremony of the high-voltage substations 110/10 kV “Otradnoye” and 35/10 kV “Chertovitsy” of the Voronezhenergo branch, 110/10 kV “Kreva” of the Tverenergo branch and 110/35/6 kV “Novaya Lugovaya” of the Marienergo branch took place on the Power Engineer’s Day - 22 December via a videoconferencing system.

In the new power centres, advanced technical solutions from domestic manufacturers of power equipment were implemented, which ensure high reliability and efficiency of power transmission. All technological processes here are automated to the maximum and are controlled remotely from the regional Grid Control Centres.

At all the substations, construction, installation and commissioning works have been successfully completed, and the adjacent territory has been landscaped.

The start button was pressed by the directors of the Voronezhenergo, Marienergo and Tverenergo branches at the command of the head of the companies, given from the main analytical centre of Rosseti Centre. The opening ceremony of the new power facilities was attended by representatives of contractors, regional authorities and the company’s staff.

“It is symbolic that we launch the operation of the new substations on the Power Engineer’s Day. We provide reliable power supply to our consumers all the time, regardless of calendars or weather,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, congratulating the company’s employees on the opening of the new facilities. “The commissioning of such large facilities will certainly have a positive impact on the system reliability of power supply and the socio-economic development of three regions of our country with a population of more than 4 million people at once”.
