On 23 March 2022, Alexey Bityunev, an electrician in the Dobrinsky Distribution Zone of Lipetskenergo, risking his life, saved a four-year-old boy from a burning house.
Today, as part of a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Civil Defense of the Russian Federation, for his feat, the power engineer was awarded the medal of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia “For the Comradeship for the Sake of Salvation”.
On behalf of Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, for his heroism, courage and selflessness, Alexey Bityunev was also awarded a Certificate of Merit from Rosseti Centre, PJSC.
“The courage and determination shown by Alexey Bityunev in saving the life of the child is a worthy example of human behaviour and the pride of the many thousands of employees of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region,” emphasized Igor Makovskiy.
