Igor Makovskiy: we must promptly and clearly respond to new challenges to protect the life and health of our employees in border Distribution Zones

21 June 2022 On 20 June, Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, held an operational meeting of the Headquarters, where decisions were made to implement additional measures to protect the personnel of border Distribution Zones during shelling.

This need was caused by a change in the nature of fire incidents. Power engineers have recorded cases of targeted dropping of ammunition from unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery fire directly on power grid infrastructure facilities.

Among the decisions taken by the Headquarters were: the creation of evacuation plans, the conduct of alarms, the equipment of shelters, the reinforcement of transport with armoured parts in case the crew was caught on the way by shelling.

“We must promptly and clearly respond to changes in the situation in the border areas and do everything in our power to eliminate emerging threats. At the same time, when developing new security measures, we must not forget that employees work in these conditions every day, so the implemented solutions must be practical, easy to use and aesthetic,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.
