Power engineers in a short time restored the power supply of inhabitants of the Bryansk region interrupted by bad weather

13 May 2022 Specialists of the branch of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - Bryanskenergo restored power supply to the districts of the Bryansk region affected by bad weather.

As a reminder, yesterday, 12 May 2022, as a result of unfavourable weather conditions: thunderstorms with strong squally winds reaching 23 m/s in places, power outages occurred in the Klintsovsky, Novozybkovsky, Starodubsky, Dubrovsky, Zhukovsky districts of the region and the town of Seltso. In total, 178 power lines of 6-10 kV and 13 lines of 35-110 kV, as well as 823 transformer substations, about 200 settlements were de-energized.

Thanks to the timely measures taken, close cooperation with the authorities and the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Bryansk region, the employees of the branch managed to restore power supply to the settlements affected by the weather within the time frame established by the regulations. 246 crews consisting of 957 people and 355 vehicles took part in the restoration work. Colleagues from Belgorodenergo, Voronezhenergo, Lipetskenergo, Ryazanenergo, Smolenskenergo, Tambovenergo and Tverenergo provided assistance to the Bryansk power engineers in carrying out the emergency work.

At present, the Grid Control Centre of the branch constantly monitors the situation in the region.
Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, highly appreciated the work of the Bryansk specialists, noting: “In any weather and time of day, the power engineers perform their main task - to provide reliable power supply to consumers. We are constantly ready to meet adverse weather events at a high level and promptly respond to their consequences, and, if necessary, mobilize forces and means to help our neighbours”.
