Igor Artamonov and Igor Makovskiy: new approaches, technologies and management models are needed in modern energy

21 October 2021

General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy at a meeting with Governor Igor Artamonov discussed the results of the Lipetsk branch’s activities in preparation for the autumn-winter period, the ongoing consolidation of the region’s power grid complex, as well as the implementation of high-tech projects.
It was especially noted at the meeting that the Lipetskenergo branch had fully and timely prepared for the heating season, having fulfilled the plan for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment. About 330 km of overhead power lines and 111 supply centres with a voltage of 0.4-110 kV were repaired, 635 hectares of routes along overhead lines were cleared. There are 128 Lipetskenergo’s crews in full readiness consisting of 430 people and 212 vehicles. All the crews are provided with necessary tools, equipment, protective gear. They have 41 backup power supply sources at their disposal for temporary power supply.

Igor Makovskiy noted the work carried out in the framework of cooperation with the regional authorities in the energy sector, paying special attention to the development of additional services provided by Rosseti Centre.

“Our main task is always to improve the reliability of the power grid complex. At the same time, we are actively implementing a program of modernization, repair and maintenance of street lighting in the region. Through the use of modern energy-efficient technologies and solutions, we can not only improve street lighting, thereby increasing the comfort and safety of residents, but also reduce the costs of municipalities to pay for electricity consumed by street lighting fixtures by more than 60%,” the head of the energy companies emphasized.
“In the Lipetsk region, there is a tendency to increase the energy intensity of economic activity, so we need strong support from the power grid company, which will provide reliable and high-quality power supply to all consumers - residents, large industrial enterprises, socially significant facilities, and the agricultural complex. The fulfillment of this task in modern realities requires new approaches, technologies and management models. We see that the power engineers are coping with their task at the proper level, thereby contributing to the socio-economic growth and investment attractiveness of the region,” Igor Artamonov stressed at the end of the meeting.
