Kursk Region Roman Starovoit and General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy held a working meeting in Moscow. During the dialogue, the preparation of the region’s power grid complex for the coming heating season, issues of consolidation of grid assets and the implementation of other measures aimed at improving the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers were discussed.
As Igor Makovskiy noted, the Kursk power engineers have completed all stages of preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2021-2022. Overhaul of 314 transformer substations and 424 km of 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines was carried out, 11,964 insulators were replaced, 742 hectares of routes were cleared from trees and shrubs.
Kurskenergo has 130 emergency recovery crews fully staffed, including specialists ready to travel to neighbouring regions on the territory of the Company’s service area, and 183 vehicles. In case of an emergency situation, 107 reserve power supply sources with a total capacity of 1,583 kW have been prepared and tested.
“The implementation of projects on the creation of high-tech facilities on the territory of the Kursk region allowed us to achieve visible results in terms of increasing the reliability of the power grid infrastructure. Over the past year, the number of technological violations decreased by 69.5% and the average duration of interruptions in power supply to consumers through the 0.4-10 kV grid decreased by 18.4%. At the same time, we are actively working in other areas - we are modernizing the outdoor lighting system, offering grid connection support services. All these actions are aimed at improving the quality of work and the availability of the power grid complex,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.
“Reliable and uninterrupted power supply is the key to the implementation of infrastructure projects, stable operation of industry and agriculture in the region. Therefore, it is important for us that the efficiency of emergency response in the power grid complex increases, and preparation for winter is carried out efficiently and on schedule. I thank Rosseti for the work done in this direction,” stated Roman Starovoit.
