Alexander Brechalov and Igor Makovskiy held a working meeting

7 October 2021

Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov and General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy discussed the preparation of the power grid complex of the Udmurt Republic for the upcoming autumn-winter period, consolidation of grid assets in the region and a number of other issues important for Udmurtia.

As Igor Makovskiy noted during the meeting, the power engineers of Udmurtenergo are fully ready for the beginning of the heating season. 562 transformer substations, 4,096.2 km of overhead power lines of all voltage levels were overhauled, more than 832 hectares routes along overhead lines were cleared of trees and shrubs. In addition, the parties gave a positive assessment to the results of the consolidation of the region’s electric grid complex, which is being carried out by Rosseti’s group of companies on behalf of the President of Russia. Udmurtenergo, a branch of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, took control over Izhevsk Electric Grids, the power grid complex of Votkinsk Electric Grids, and the power grids of the city of Mozhga.

“Consolidation of grid assets of the Republic allows reaching fundamentally new indicators of quality and reliability of supplied energy resources by creating a single centre of responsibility. Our company has a powerful resource potential, the necessary competencies and colossal work experience. The power engineers of the branch provide uninterrupted power supply to residents of the region around the clock, as well as implement large infrastructure projects that can cover the growing needs of the region’s economy,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.

Another topic for discussion was the “Light Udmurtia” program implemented by the Udmurtenergo branch. The branch serves more than 40.5 thousand outdoor lighting fixtures. It replaced old fixtures with modern LED ones and constructed 3.5 thousand new light points. Development, maintenance and modernization of outdoor lighting was carried out in 18 out of 30 municipalities.

“The results of the work of Rosseti Centre and Volga region in Izhevsk are vivid and obvious: thanks to the implementation of new technologies, it was possible to significantly reduce budgetary energy costs - in 2021 alone this figure will exceed 52 million rubles. And the implementation of the energy service contract in Izhevsk schools will save more than 25 million rubles. The cooperation of the region with Rosseti Centre and Volga region at every stage proves its high social and economic efficiency,” noted Alexander Brechalov.
