4 June 2021

General Director of Rosseti Centre — the managing organization of Rosseti Center and Volga Region and President of Shchekinoazot held a working meeting at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The parties paid special attention to cooperation in the field of improving the reliability of power supply to chemical facilities in the Tula region.

Last year, employees of the Tulenergo branch of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region completed a project to reconstruct high-voltage grids for the construction site of a new ammonia and urea production complex in the Shchekinsky district of the region. The power engineers constructed and commissioned more than 17 km of new 110 kV transmission lines and dismantled over 11 km of existing lines.

As the head of the energy companies noted, taking into account the great importance of the enterprise for the development of the export potential of the region, all work was completed in the shortest possible time and at a high level.

“Shchekinoazot is one of the world leaders in the production of industrial chemicals. By improving our energy infrastructure for such large facilities, we are contributing to the creation of conditions for the socio-economic growth of the Tula region,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
