Alexander Shuvaev and Boris Ebzeev discussed the operation of the Belgorod region’s electric grid complex

8 July 2026

A working meeting was held in Belgorod between Acting Governor of the Belgorod Region Alexander Shuvaev and Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC. The main topics of discussion were preparation for the upcoming heating season and ensuring the safe operation of the region’s energy facilities.

It was noted that the branch of Rosseti Centre — Belgorodenergo continues to operate under special conditions. Since the beginning of the special military operation, numerous fire incidents have been recorded in the regionэs electric grid. Despite this, power engineers are restoring damaged power facilities and maintaining stable grid operation. Dozens of substations of various voltage classes, hundreds of transformer substations, and sections of power lines have been restored to service, many of them repeatedly.

Special attention was given to the issues of connecting new consumers and providing electricity to facilities critical to the regionэs sustainable operation. According to current data, Belgorodenergo has executed 2,276 grid connection agreements with a total capacity of 40.4 MW since the beginning of the year.

“In the current circumstances, the prompt restoration of power supply, the resilience of the grid infrastructure, and the clear coordination of all services are particularly important for the Belgorod region. The region’s power engineers are working practically in frontline conditions and continue to provide electricity to residents, social institutions, and businesses. In this situation, Rosseti Centre is our reliable partner,” noted Alexander Shuvaev.

“Belgorod power engineers perform tasks daily in high-risk conditions. Moreover, our work is not limited to restoring damaged facilities. At the same time, we continue to develop the grid, connect new consumers, implement smart solutions, and take measures to improve the reliability of the power supply. The most important task today is to ensure the stable operation of the electric grid complex under any conditions,” stressed Boris Ebzeev.
