Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, and Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, held a working meeting in Yaroslavl. The parties discussed joint efforts to improve the efficiency of the region’s grid complex.
It was noted that, thanks to a previously concluded long-term regulatory agreement, investments in the region’s electric grid complex have increased 1.6-fold compared to 2025. This year, Rosseti Centre will invest over RUB 4 billion in the development of the Yaroslavl region’s energy infrastructure. This will enable the commissioning of 45.9 MVA of new capacity, the construction and reconstruction of nearly 200 km of power transmission lines, and the implementation of a number of systemically important projects.
In the first six months of this year, specialists from the branch of Rosseti Centre — Yarenergo completed over 2,100 grid connection contracts. The connected capacity amounted to 31.4 MW. Significant facilities supplied with electricity included boiler houses, medical facilities, hotel complexes, industrial premises, and apartment buildings.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to Yarenergo’s readiness for the heating season. In 2026, the branch allocated over RUB 700 million for implementation of the maintenance and repair program for energy facilities. Before the start of the heating season, the power engineers will complete repairs to 80.7 km of transmission lines and 124 substations of all voltage classes, and clear 2,700 hectares of transmission line routes.
“The total investment program we signed with Yarenergo through 2030 will exceed RUB 14 billion. This will allow us to reconstruct and construct approximately 1,100 kilometres of grids. Key joint projects in the coming years include the construction of a new substation in the Yaroslavlsky district and the modernization of two substations in the Pereslavl-Zalessky district,” noted Mikhail Evraev.
“Yarenergo’s electric grid complex includes nearly 35,000 kilometres of transmission lines, 168 35-110 kV substations, and over 10,000 distribution and transformer substations. Our goal is to ensure its stable operation and consistently modernize the infrastructure. Funds allocated for grid repair and development will contribute to achieving key goals: reliable electricity supply to consumers and economic development in the region,” stressed Boris Ebzeev.
