Dagestan power engineers visited modern digital power facilities of the branch of Rosseti Centre in the Voronezh region

17.07.2020

The delegation of the branch “Rosseti Northern Caucasus” - “Dagenergo”, consisting of 12 chiefs of Distribution Zones under the leadership of Deputy Chief Engineer of the branch Akhmed Zakaryalov, is undergoing a practical training at key digital energy facilities of Rosseti’s holding. On 16 July, the delegation visited digital power facilities of the branch “Rosseti Centre” - “Voronezhenergo”.

The Dagestan power engineers got acquainted with the work of the “Grid Control Centre” of the branch and the implementation of the “Digital Distribution Zone” project in Voronezhenergo. Specialists of the branch demonstrated in practice to their Dagestan colleagues the possibilities of remote control from a single centre of the power system of the region using the example of the Ramonsky Distribution Zone. Currently in Voronezhenergo 11 Distribution Zones have been transferred to remote control, as well as the power system of the regional centre, which has significantly reduced the response time to technological disruptions in the grid and the time to eliminate them.

It was reported earlier that Rosseti is planning a large-scale renovation of the grid complex of Dagestan to improve the reliability of energy supply to consumers. “The successful implementation of the plans largely depends on the training of the republic’s power engineers. To improve the qualifications of the Dagestan power engineers who will manage the renewed energy system, the management of Rosseti organized practical training at key digital power facilities of the holding,” said Andrey Mayorov, First Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer of PJSC Rosseti.

“The power grid complex of Dagestan has yet to massively introduce modern technical solutions as part of the concept of digital transformation of the power grid complex. Therefore, we are grateful to our colleagues from the Rosseti company for organizing such an extensive familiarization program. In Voronezhenergo, we actually saw all the advantages of software systems installed in the single Grid Control Centre. The information received will help us in the implementation of digital projects in our company,” shared the chief of the Kumukhsky Distribution Zone of the Dagestan Grid Company Zurab Gadzhiev.

The Voronezh power engineers also shared with their colleagues a unique experience of using power facilities as art objects using the example of a stylized power line pole. The pole, stylized as “Lighthouse”, has become not only a city landmark, but also an unusual way of communication due to the lighting system installed on it.
