Employees of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo”, together with representatives of the Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kostroma Region and volunteers from Kostroma State University (KSU) held a campaign “Safe Summer” for children. In connection with the current situation, the event was organized in an online format.
The children were shown cartoons and instructional videos on the topic of safety. About 250 children from orphanages, social and rehabilitation centres of Kostroma and the Kostroma region took part in the action. The main goal of the preventive measure is to introduce children to the rules of safe behaviour in the summer.
Kostromaenergo’s specialists presented a thematic video to the children, which introduced the children to the rules of conduct near existing electrical installations, warned of the danger posed by electric current. The guys also found out what kind of threat is posed by faulty electrical appliances and bare wires, why you can’t climb poles of power lines, go into premises of substations, get close to dangling wires.
In turn, the drug control experts in a video message told the schoolchildren about the dangers of drug use, and about the responsibility that threatens if you succumb to persuasion of drug dealers. And the KSU volunteers shared their experience in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
According to the organizers, such events are very important for children. They will contribute to the safety of children, the formation of a sense of self-protection in them. Thanks to a clear algorithm of actions in the event of a non-standard situation, the guys receive not only theoretical knowledge, but also learn to apply the gained experience in practice.
Such preventive interagency actions in the online format will take place throughout the summer period, including in suburban health centres, when there will be a special permit from the regional authorities.
Please, be reminded that the decision to organize distance learning for schoolchildren on safety issues was made during a round table on prevention of third-party injuries at facilities of the electric grid complex, which was held in March this year at the Kostromaenergo branch. Participants discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the field of children’s safety prevention. In particular, it was decided to consolidate video, audio, and presentation material from various departments in order to use it in children’s institutions in Kostroma and the Kostroma region during distance learning on-line.
