Hotline of power engineering specialists
Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division took part in the festival of the All-Russian physical training and sports complex “Ready for Labour and Defense” (GTO) among labour teams, which took place on 27 April in Kursk at the stadium “Labour Reserves”. The event was coordinated by the Committee for Physical Culture and Sport of the Kursk Region.
In addition to the power engineers, another 13 labour teams from the Kursk region, formed from full-time employees aged 25 to 59, fought for victory in the individual and team standings. The competition program included performing exercises of the GTO complex, which checked flexibility, endurance and strength of participants: lifting the body from a supine position, leaning forward from a standing position on a gymnastic bench, dumbbell snatching, shooting from an air rifle, running 2 and 3 kilometres.
At the end of the festival the power engineers showed good results. Elena Dyudina, a specialist of the 1st category of the property office, took the third place at the age level of 25-29 years, Igor Shirlin, the head of the western section of the diagnostics service, took the third place at the age level of 40-49 years. In the overall team standings, Kurskenergo ranks the 4th.
