IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division held the Safety Day. The event is held on a monthly basis in order to prevent injuries and improve production standards.
The commission, comprising representatives of the executive office of Kurskenergo, checked compliance and safety regulations in the performance of current and comprehensive repairs of power equipment, provision of maintenance personnel with protective clothing and other personal protective equipment, as well as availability of tools, technical condition of lifting machinery.
The practical part of the check was devoted to trainings in which crews practiced demonstration clearances for production work at electrical systems. Traditionally on this day, more attention was paid by the checking commission to the compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, guidelines, instructions and other guidance documents for safety, the quality of conduct of operating communications.
According to the results of the Safety Day, a list of measures to eliminate detected violations was made. Their performance will be checked in preparation for the next safety day.
"Safety Day is an important event for raising responsibility of staff for compliance with rules and safety regulations, technological and labour discipline and productivity," stressed Deputy Chief Engineer - Head of Occupational Safety and Production Control of "Kurskenergo" Victor Sokolov.
