10 September 2016 in Smolensk in the Field of Mars of Central Recreation and Leisure Park "Lopatinsky Garden" there was a gala concert dedicated to the All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving "Together brighter". The purpose of the festival is the promotion of energy-efficient lifestyle at home and in the workplace. The event was attended by heads and employees of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division. The event was held under the motto: "In Smolensk it is bright today too because we are together!"
Among the speakers were Head of the Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Tariff Policy of the Smolensk region Oleg Rybalko, First Deputy Head of the city of Smolensk Dmitry Platonov, as well as representatives of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division, "SmolenskAtomEnergoSbyt" and the Centre of energy saving and energy efficiency of the Smolensk region.
For residents and guests various vocal and dance groups of Smolensk performed, competitions and quizzes were held on the topic of energy saving. Managers of energy companies and representatives of the Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Tariff Policy of the Smolensk region summed up the regional children’s drawing contest "How I save energy", organized by the Smolensk Regional Administration together with "SmolenskAtomEnergoSbyt" and "Smolenskenergo". All those wishing during the week passed their themed drawings to organizers. The contest was attended by about a hundred children, and the most active participants were children of power engineers. All winners of the children’s drawing contest and online quiz on the energy saving theme were awarded prizes.
The culmination of the festival was signing of petitions in the field of energy efficiency. On the stage in a solemn way the petition was signed by authorized representatives of the Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Tariff Policy of the Smolensk region, IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division, "SmolenskAtomEnergoSbyt". Then, all participants and guests were asked to sign a personal declaration of intent to respect for energy at home and at work and #petition in the field of energy saving.
"As part of the All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving #VmesteYarche 5-9 September 2016 staff of Smolenskenergo conducted 42 energy saving lessons for pupils and students of educational institutions of the region. From 1 September until the end of the month on TV "Friday" in the regional broadcasting for children and parents the branch also transmits video series "Let’s talk about energy saving"", commented the head of the energy saving and energy efficiency office Dmitry Serenkov. "And at the most festive event everyone could do bright pictures on the background of a banner with the hashtag #VmesteYarche, #ya_beregu_energiyu, #ya_govoryu_da_energosberezheniyu, #my_za_energoeffektivnye_tehnologii, #my_dumaem_o_buduschem and many others, then to post the pictures in social networks."
