7 September staff of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division held a lesson on energy saving at secondary school №1 in the neighbourhood Rainbow of the city of Tambov. The event, which was attended by about 140 pupils of the fourth grade, was organized within the framework of the regional stage of the All-Russian Festival #VmesteYarche, which runs from 1 to 30 September 2016 in the Tambov region.
The head of the energy saving and energy efficiency office of Tambovenergo Sergey Pervushin introduced the lesson participants to simple rules that allow for the rational use of energy and thereby protect the environment. From the written in verse form presentation on energy-saving, specially adapted for small schoolchildren, the pupils got to know that the use of energy-saving lamps instead of incandescent bulbs, sealing windows and descaling the kettle helps significantly save electricity and heat. They can apply this information in practice using the published with the support of IDGC of Centre book-brochure "Energy Advocates", which was received by each participant at the end of the lesson.
Teaching staff of the school thanked the power engineers for the conducted class. "The problems of energy saving are important and relevant, one should have an idea about them from a young age. Big thanks to Tambovenergo’s professionals for sharing with the kids so necessary and useful information," stressed Deputy Director on educational work Tatiana Erokhina. And the lesson participants promised to share the acquired knowledge with family and friends.

The idea of the energy saving festival #VmesteYarche was given by the youth at the International Forum ENES-2015 in the autumn last year. The initiative was supported by several federal agencies: the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Rosmolodezh, the Ministry of Education of Russia, State Corporation "Fund of assistance to reforming housing and communal services", winners of the prize "Global Energy" and other youth and community organizations. Within the festival in the Tambov region there are exhibitions and open doors days held, as well as track and field tournaments and school sports days. Results of the festival will be announced at the IV International Energy Forum in Moscow.
