Igor Makovskiy: power engineers are increasing their readiness to respond to emergency situations in the operation of the power grid complex during the holidays

General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC Igor Makovskiy held an operational meeting where the work of branches of the Companies to ensure reliable power supply to consumers during the May weekend and holidays was discussed.

The head of the Companies assessed the readiness of the power grid complex of 20 regions, including border ones, for the upcoming holiday period, and also set a number of tasks for branch directors to increase the level of control over the response to possible technological violations and personnel safety during work.

The energy company will have 4,319 people on 24-hour duty, consisting of 1,456 crews and 1,869 motor and special vehicles. For temporary power supply to consumers, if necessary, 2,315 backup power supply sources with a total capacity of 88.1 MW have been prepared for use.

“Power engineers fulfill their main task of ensuring reliable power supply to consumers at any time of the year, on holidays and on weekdays. The accumulated experience and professionalism, as well as established interaction with regional authorities and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, allow us to quickly respond to any emergency situations and direct all the necessary forces and means to prevent interruptions in the power supply to the population”, stressed Igor Makovskiy.
